Me and Sole just played a game of downpour and everyone of our team came to A with us, what a bunch of noobs. Just to reiterate, make sure you don't leave one point undefended and don't play like sheep.

Yes Ads is right - there's absolutely no point in everyone going to point A or B - it's important both points are defended. For those who like to 'camp' (stay in one little hideout the whole game) please remember to check your maps to see who is where (friend or foe). When there's only 2 of you left (or 3) get/keep close and help (not too close to both be taken out with 1 bomb or other). No point in a team member carrying the bomb to A when you're camping at B Neutral

Yes the patch is finally here cheers. It's 11MB and so far for me at least it has improved the connection stuff a lot. It now takes only around 2-5 seconds to find games compared to the 10-20 it would take before. And so far i have not had any connection drop outs

SoleFever, does the PSN network provide COD4 players with independant servers? I find most times that when I play on the 360 it connects to a random 360 as the host and the game begins.... so far its been pretty good but its annoying when someone leaves halfway through a game!

Its the same on the PS3

Does that patch install automatically? I didn't get any message saying it was installing when I started it up.

EDIT: Must have canceled it by accident Laughing got the update now

Lets get something straight for all the new members, on downpour I claymore point A whilst defending, Taz claymores B. If you want to put claymores down do it somewhere else. Also read the clan roles a few pages back, especially you Mullethead as Barmelo and I are the clan snipers. Find yourself another role.

We claymore them so the claymores can't be seen, you new guys come along and put them clearly visible and they shoot yours and blow up mine and Taz's.

If you don't like it and you continue to do your own thing you just won't get invites from us.

This game clearly needs players with comms, what happened to your headsets John and Hoff? Skype is free you know.

Just to reiterate Ads' point in my quote - put Claymores in a spot where the enemy cannot see them and place them well away from other team member's Claymores.

There is absolutely no need to place two Claymores next to each other - one well placed Claymore is enough to kill 1 or 2 enemies.

Also watch which way the red beams are aiming - I've seen people place them the wrong way round No Placing them the wrong way round ruins your chances of a kill.

Very effective - the news a couple of weeks ago reported a Claymore claiming 18 lives - it went off and blew a bus up at close range.

Deadly. Shocked

I've got a headset now, my problem is with skpe. basically i have windows vista installed but it's not the official version and has expired. As a result my pc locks after an hours use.

i've read that the new service pack for vista will remove this in the final version, but that's not released yet....but hopefully it will be soon.

John look here for software emulation. It will add a serial number and activate it for you, only downside is sp1 wil remove most known vista cracks.

Shaun - I mean I downloaded it from a torrent site so don't have a valid serial number.

Ads - Thanks. I will have a look at that site. I have already used the re-arm trick but you can only use that so many times. Hopefully there'll be something else on there that I can use.

Thats wot I thought but I wasn't 100% sure.

There is apparently a leaked vista with sp1 download going about the torrent sites, but coz its a full install you would have to back everything up if your brave enough to try it.

thanks shaun, I think i'll try installing the crack that ads has provided first because it sounds quite promising.

I'll be on COD later.

By the way, if m7toker7 and quinny 32 sometimes join the party it's because i've invited them. it's my girlfriends son and his friend. they're always wanting me to play with them so i feel bad if i don't invite them. hope you don't mind.

Do these forums work on the PS3?

He has no computer at the minute because the laptop screen broke.
